Shirley Ann (McLean) Dewey, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2024, in Orange Park, FL. She was a longtime resident of Roscoe and upon retirement moved to Orange Park, FL to enjoy the warm weather.
She relished her independent living in her home, especially her driving adventures back to Roscoe for visitsĀ until age 89. She continued to drive around town until shortly before her passing. Many memories were shared growing up in Roscoe with family and friends. She kept busy as treasurer of the woman's club, volunteering, and various other groups. She enjoyed her many vacations with family and friends to Bahamas, Alaska, and beach towns. Her wisdom, opinions, advice and unwavering love will be missed by all.
She is predeceased by parents, Edwin and Helen McLean; husband, John Dewey; sisters, Helen George, Darlene Green, Katherine Scott, and Audrey Curatolo. Also, all her beloved animals. She is survived by her sister, Doris Fisher and children, Dennis (Nancy) Dewey, Fleming Island, FL, Jill Dewey, Roscoe, IL, Tricia (Dennis) Brass, Doylestown, PA and her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also, by her two feral cats she took in, Sissy and Paul.
