Harlem-Roscoe firefighters began battling a single-story residential fire about 3:30 Saturday morning, Nov. 18, 2023, in the 6000 block of Prairie Flower in Roscoe, north of Porter Park.

Interim Fire Chief John Bergeron requested additional resources with a "MABAS Box 11 to the 3rd Alarm." Fire crews made an aggressive attack on the heavy fire.

Fire personnel treated one person at the home, who was released.

Bergeron says, "Harlem-Roscoe would like to thank all the departments that assisted us this morning along with Roscoe Police Department." Harlem-Roscoe Fire investigators as well as the Office of the State Fire Marshal are looking into the cause.
