Hononegah Indians football team has a wealth of talent all across this 24-player senior class

The Hononegah Indians football team went undefeated during the 2023 regular season, winning the NIC-10 conference championship. During the season the Indians created so much pressure for their opponents because of their explosive offense averaging 44 points per game while allowing just 10 points.

I can only imagine how fun it must have been to play defense this season for the Hononegah defenders. Knowing that you can attack and attack the offense on every single play.

This Hononegah football team should be scattered all over the NIC-10 all-conference team that comes out next month. Many players on this year's team have received offers and some have verbally committed already to some colleges to play on the next level. Below is a brief list of players who have used social media to talk about the next level of football for them.

Isaiah Houi – Verbally committed to Northern Iowa
Aundre Pilgrim – Recently received an offer from UW-Whitewater
Drake Broege – Verbally committed to UW-Whitewater
Estin Fichter – Recently received an offer from Upper Iowa
Cole Warren – Holds numerous offers, the latest coming from Mount Union
Will Roberts - Recently received an offer from Carthage College

Expect more players to be offered after the season, as sometimes colleges wait until after the high school season to ends to offer and contact potential recruits.

With the talent level of this year’s 24 seniors I would expect many more will have the chance to play football at the next level.

With the playoffs just a few short days away, Hononegah has its sights set on something much bigger as a team. It’s a trip down south to ISU and a chance to hoist up a trophy for the case - a memory that will last forever.
