Time Rolls On Car, Truck, Bike & Tractor Show - Sat Aug 26 10:00 am

Roscoe Methodist Church

10 am - 2 pm. RUMM presents the Time Rolls on Car, Truck, Bike & Tractor Show.  Awards will be presented.  Music will be provided by The Rocksurfers. Food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the RUMM local charities. [more details]

Historic Downtown Rockton Walking Tour: Part II - Sat Aug 26 10:00 am

Rockton Village Hall

Hear the stories of Rockton’s history through a walking tour of the Village’s historic buildings. This tour will explore secret societies, early firefighting, and the important structure that gave Rockton its industrial beginnings. The tour will meet at Rockton Village Hall, 110 E. Main St., and will last an hour. Special thanks to the Rockton Township Historical Society for their help in creating these tours. The third walking tour will occur on Saturday, September 16. Live Music: Sunday Afternoon with Minimal - Sun Aug 27 1:00 pm

1 - 4 p.m. Minimal will be at Louie's. Not much else to say. Except the band has won at least 15 awards from the Rockford Area Music Industry (RAMI) organization. They played at Old Settlers Days in Rockton and at Roscoe's Fall Festival.

Wednesday Stewardship Days – Nygren Wetland Preserve - Wed Aug 30 9:00 am

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Volunteer tasks include control and removal of bush honeysuckle and garlic mustard or other invasive species, planting/collecting seeds, helping in the greenhouse, planting plugs, general maintenance, bird and mammal monitoring, prescribed burns, and set-up for special events.
