Janet Bruschi enjoyed her day trips, her backyard gardens and pond

Janet Bruschi (1952-2023)

Janet Kay Bruschi, 71, of Roscoe, IL, was born on May 15, 1952 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Alvin and Helen (Hartwig) Broge. Janet was a 1970 South Beloit High School graduate. She married David Bruschi on May 23, 1981 in Beloit, WI.

She passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Javon Bea Hospital, Rockford, IL surrounded by her loving family.

Janet was formerly employed by Pate Foods as a human resource manager. She later worked at Swing N Slide in Janesville until her retirement. Janet especially enjoyed her day trips, traveling to Starved Rock State Park, Door County, the Mississippi River and the small towns surrounding it. Her hobbies were Ancestry.com and her beautiful gardens and pond in the backyard. In her younger years, she enjoyed being a member of bowling leagues and attending the state tournaments with her teammates. Janet’s biggest joy was when she was able to spend time with her precious grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, David Bruschi; daughter, Amanda Bruschi; son, Derek (Bernadette) Bruschi; grandsons, Lawton, Alex, and Hunter; brother, Calvin (Rita) Broge; sister, Theresa (Brian) Popple; niece, Tammy (Mike) Henry; and mother-in-law, Dolores Bruschi.

Janet was predeceased by her parents and father-in-law, Richard “Dick” Bruschi.

A Visitation of Remembrance for Janet will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
