Interested in learning more about unique Rockton architecture? Join the Village's Historic Preservation Commission in the first of a three-part series of historic architecture in downtown Rockton. Those interested should meet at Settlers Park on the path along Blackhawk Blvd. near the cottonwood trees (look for the sandwich board sign on the path). The tour will last approximately one hour, plenty of time for you to return to catch the band's performance at the Rockton River Market. The second and third walking tours will occur on Saturday, Aug. 26, and Saturday, September 16. [more details]

The 60th annual Rockton American Legion Post #332 Rifle Squad Corn Boil is coming back to the American Center, (American Legion) on Sunday, Aug. 6. Enjoy the beauty of the prairies and wetlands while you work. NLI’s most ambitious restoration to date hosts a complex of habitats and rare species.
