National Night Out was held across the United States on Tuesday evening, Aug. 1, 2023.
In Roscoe, hundreds of families came to enjoy food, games, and a chance to talk face-to face with law enforcement personnel.
The yearly event didn't take place last year because of Covid, but this year the celebration was a hit.
National Night Out was founded to foster a sense of community and positive relationships between neighbors and law enforcement.
The City of South Beloit held their National Night Out celebration at the American Legion. The Rockton Police hold a similar annual event, Blues & BBQ, on September 6 at Settlers Park.
