During this week in the Stateline area, various events will take place, starting with the most exciting one, the 4th of July, followed by yoga, (movie nights were cancelled because of Canadian wildfire air quality), golf play day, council meeting, live music, Sophia's Restaurant cruise night, and more to explore! Harlem-Roscoe Firefighter's Annual Golf Play Day - Fri Jun 30 10:00 am

Atwood Homestead Golf Course

Join the Harlem - Roscoe Fire Department for the annual golf play day on June 30, 2023! This year we will be hosting our event at Atwood Homestead Golf Course. As with each year, we are looking to improve and create a memorable event for all of you, all while raising money to support the educational needs of the schools in our fire district. Last year, donations totaled over $24,000! This was only possible due to the generosity of so many golfers and sponsors. [more details]


South Beloit City Council Meeting - Mon Jul 3 5:00 pm

South Beloit City Hall

The regular City Council meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 519 Blackhawk Blvd., South Beloit, IL All meetings are held in the City Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend. [more details]


Independence Day - Tue Jul 4 7:00 pm

Roscoe

The holiday commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The actual vote by the Continental Congress was two days earlier, which is why John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail, "The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty." [more details]


Rockton River Market: Jon Bon Stamos - Wed Jul 5 6:00 pm

Settlers Park

Jon Bon Stamos is a 6-piece band that plays high-energy "stolk folk" AKA rock music with a banjo. The Rockton River Market takes place every Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Settlers Park, 150 Hawick Street in Rockton. The music starts at 6:00 p.m. [more details]
