Seven year old Josiah likes to code. He was at the STEM Academy Fun Fair demonstrating his coding capabilities to make a Lego helicopter, truck and plane.

Stateline STEM Academy, at 9461 2nd Street in Roscoe, IL., hosted a Fun Fair on Sunday, May 7, 2023. The event provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to show their creativity and imagination and make learning fun by using skills in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Everything from creating Lego construction equipment to making earrings were on display at the Fun Fair.

The Fun Fair gave parents a look at how learning can go along with creativity.

Kids Spot is right next door to the STEM Academy. The two business are embarking on a partnership this summer. Both academies will be offering special programs.

Parents can choose from an abundance of programs offered at the academies. One-week summer camps run June through August.

Parents can sign up their children for programs offered half days and full days.

Kids Spot, Narrow Gate Learning Academy, and Stateline STEM Academy are offering a Homeschool Resource Fair on May 24, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Parents and kids are invited to see how businesses, organizations, and other local resources can make homeschooling fun, simple and effective.
