Therese Jacobs (1937-2023)

Therese J. Jacobs, 85, of Roscoe, Illinois was born on November 14, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Pinkowski) Suheski. She graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School in 1955. Therese married James Farrell on May 14, 1958 in Chicago and he predeceased her on January 25, 1996. She married Thomas Jacobs on August 7, 1999 in Rockford. She retired from Sundstrand in 1999. 

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, Therese passed away. She will be remembered for her selflessness and love for others. She loved sewing, garage sales, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, she also enjoyed music including polka and country western. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband, Thomas Jacobs; children Maureen Farrell Wenatchee, WA, Sandy (Tod Fish) Smith; stepchildren Kathy (Bob) King, Stephanie Jacobs, Chris Jacobs; grandchildren Brian Smith, Shannon (Joshua) Champlain of Monroe Center, IL, Cassandra (Ryan Balch) Smith, Ashley (John) Cetnar Fond Du Lac, WI; great grandchildren Jasmin, Karina, David Smith, Laira, Eli, Ella Champlain, Ryder Thomas, Raelynn Cetnar; siblings Gert Moore of Chicago, IL, Ray (Helen) Suheski of St. John, IN, Sue Kotfas of Blanco, TX, Nance (Joe) Conlin of Oceanside, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, James Farrell.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
