Eugene Kamholz, Sr. worked at Taylor Freezer but also farmed all his life

Eugene H. Kamholz, Sr., 77,  was born in Roscoe, IL on June 9, 1945, the son of Richard A. and Fern V. (Baars) Kamholz.

Eugene married Janis E. Cook in Roscoe, IL on November 16, 1963. Eugene worked 30 years at Taylor Freezer, retiring in 2002. He farmed all his life on the family farm. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Roscoe, IL, where he belonged to the Men's Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family at the farm.

Eugene died in Allure of Stockton, IL on Thursday, February 16, 2023 after a lengthy illness. He previously lived in Brodhead, WI.

Survivors include his wife Janis; sons Eugene (Antonina) Jr., Keith ; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Siblings brother Dwane; sister Elizabeth; brother Richard, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, son Timothy, brother Dave and sister Donna.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL with Pastor Dave Bailey officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of ceremony. Burial will be in Floral Cemetery in South Beloit, IL.
