Marilyn J. Gunther, 93, of Roscoe, worked as an insurance claims adjuster at State Farm for 25 years before retiring in 1994. Marilyn enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was born on September 7, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Philip and Lillian (Thompson) Gunther.
She passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Agrace Hospice in Janesville.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Timothy (Wendy) Kennedy, Sharon (Robert) Keeler, and Sandra (Julian) Vyborny; grandchildren, Robert (Mai) Keeler Jr., Amanda (Adam) Harty, Philip (Sarah) Walsh, Amber (Corey) Schreiber, Chelsey (Christopher) Paulson; great grandchildren, Luke Harty, Anna Harty, Abraham Harty, Zachary Walsh, Eric Walsh, Jack Walsh, Garrett Schreiber, Adam Schreiber, Evan Paulson, Brynn Paulson, and Nora Paulson; and special companion, pup Millie. She is predeceased by her parents; daughter Susan Keller; son-in-law Paul Keller; grandson Daniel Keller; and sister Phyllis Jidas.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Angels, Britney, Dora, and Melissa of Beloit, Agrace Hospice in Janesville, and her thoughtful neighbors for the wonderful care of Marilyn.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, Dec.14, 2022, at 1 pm, at Acacia Park Cemetery, 7800 W. Irving Park Road, Norridge, IL 60706.
