If you are like me, I’m proud of those players that are currently playing for the undefeated Hononegah Indians (5-0 overall and 5-0 in the NIC 10) and those players that have laid the foundation for the program. With high school football at the halfway point and college football nearing the halfway point, let’s look at some former Indians and how they are doing on the college gridiron.

Loras College (2-2 overall and 2-0 in the American Rivers Conference)

University of Dubuque

Carroll University (2-1 overall and 1-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW)

University of Dayton (2-1 overall and No conference games yet)

  • Ryan Vanschelvan – Senior QB (No credited stats) Recently Ryan became one of five reps on the University of Dayton’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee works as a group to act as the voice of the Dayton student-athlete population. They work with their fellow team members to promote involvement around campus and access to all of our university resources.

Carthage College (0-3 and 0-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW)

  • Zach Hale – Senior LB (No credited stats)

Wisconsin Lutheran College (1-2 and 1-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference NAC)

Ellsworth Community College
(0-4 and 0-2 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference ICCAC)

  • Isaac Whisenand- Freshman QB - On Sept 24, Isaac was 9 of 19 for 66 yards in his first college action. His longest pass was 16 yards and his passer rating was 76.5 for the game. Isaac currently is the backup to the starter, sophomore Joshua Bauer.
