What to do in Rockton and Roscoe - Saturday, Sep 17 - Friday, Sep 23

Hononegah Community High School is 100 years old. It opened its doors in 1923 and people are celebrating all week. After the Vine is celebrating - they're one year old. The people who come to 50 North always have a good time - they're supposed to be at least 50 years old. And Rockton McDonald's Cruise Nights and Street Market Extravaganza are celebrating the last events of their summer season. If you can think of anything else to celebrate, let everybody know.

Come celebrate!  Events and activities will include: Window painting on Sept. 17, Lip- sync battle on Sept. 19, Talent show on Sept. 20, Powderpuff games, a pep rally and a bonfire on Sept. 22, Parade on Sept. 23, followed by the Homecoming football game, Homecoming dance on Sept. 24. Street Market Extravaganza - Sat Sep 17 9:00 am

Life Church

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. All sorts of vendors you can shop from, food trucks, inflatables for the kids and a DJ - the premier event to close out the summer season! We have added a double elimination Bags Tournament. Teams will be two people and there will be prizes for the top three teams. 
Are you artistic? We have also added “Paint the Parking Lot”! $20 gets you a parking spot to decorate. The Grace Wins Benefit for Grace and Ryan Hansen is happening at the same time. [more details]

Boone County Farm Stroll - Sun Sep 18 10:00 am

A self-guided tour of seven of Boone County's diversified family farms. There's no beginning or end to the stroll. Come satisfy your local food cravings and curiosities on farms that grow your food and fiber.

50 North - Tue Sep 20 1:00 pm

Rockton Community Centre

50 North will be meeting on Tuesday, September 20, from 1-3 pm, for people 50 and over.  Hoo Haven will be bringing their birds and talking to us about their facility.  They always have need of old towels, laundry detergent and frozen meats and have asked us to bring these donations if able.  There will also be games to play and cookies and coffee to enjoy.  Please join us for an interesting afternoon! RDM Dedication Ceremony - Wed Sep 21 5:30 pm

American Legion

There will be a brief dedication ceremony on Wed., Sept. 21 at the Rockton American Legion promptly at 5:30 p.m. Parents of Corporal Ryan D. Masters will present a donation and plaque on behalf of the RDM Foundation to the Rockton American Legion in support of Vets Roll.

The RDM Foundation was established in 2022 to honor Corporal Ryan D. Masters through funding organizations which benefit veterans, support their life after service and raise awareness of veteran suicide.  [more details]
