Sylvia Wall rode a motorcycle and loved her grandchildren (and Carrie Underwood too)

Sylvia Joyce Wall, 79, of Roscoe, was born January 14, 1943 in Knifley, KY, the daughter of the late George Walton and Lula Mae (Dixon) Bottoms. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Roscoe and Chapter L of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She was an avid fan of Carrie Underwood and had a passion for reading and traveling. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Sylvia worked for more than 30 years at Warner Lambert where she retired in 2008.

Sylvia passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Herbert Keith Wall and Kimberly Larson; grandchildren, Kristina Kelly Wall, Jennifer Kinslow, Kristopher Keith Wall, and Cody Larson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Luria Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Herbert; sister Martha Jeston Neat; brother George Bottoms; half-sister Opal Roberts; half-brothers John, Charles, and Jody Blackburn.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, August 1 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, followed by a service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Rod Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
