Solitary driver thrown from vehicle in Owen Township

At 2:30 a.m. on July 16, Rockton Fire Protection District and Northwest Fire Protection District personnel, as well as Winnebago County Sheriff's deputies, responded to a one-vehicle traffic accident on North Main Road about a half mile north of Latham Road in Owen Township, southwest of Roscoe. Investigators believe that after the vehicle left the road, it rolled several times before landing upright on its wheels. The driver, who was alone, was thrown from the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
