4 - 6 p.m. South Beloit residents will vote on March 19 on whether to adopt a 1% sales tax. 

The City Council says the financing of public roadways would be significantly enhanced by increasing sales and occupations tax revenues. 

The 1% increase would only be for roads and would be effective January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2029.
