Bonnie Hobson (1950-2022) worked for Rockford Fabricators before retiring to Largo, Florida

Bonnie R Hobson-Johnson, age 71, was born October 8, 1950 in Rockford. She passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on May 31, 2022 in Largo FL. She put up a very strong and courageous battle with one of the most rare and aggressive cancers, bile duct cancer

Bonnie was born in Rockford IL to Loren and Jean Hobson. She graduated from Auburn High School in Rockford, IL She worked 30 years for Rockford Fabricators before retiring to Largo, Florida.

She was preceeded in death by her mother Jean Trevior-Hobson, father Loren Hobson Sr., sisters Rose Gesner-Cloyd, Roberta Gesner-Watts, Sandra Hobson-Buettgen, and Sharon Hobson-Schwoob, and brother Glenn Gesner.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Jim Johnson, daughter Dana Hruska-Brockman (Andy) of Gillett, WI, son Duane Hruska (Manuela) of Sparta, WI, and Jennifer Johnson-Hudson of Loves Park, IL and Bryan Johnson of Loves Park, IL., brothers: Loren Hobson, Jr (Carol) of Sebring, FL, Charles Hobson (Vicky) of Rockford, IL, and Randall Hobson (Cathy) of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bradley Hobson (Patti) of Rockford, IL.; sisters Joye Gesner-Monroe (Edward) of Cottage Grove, WI (Marty) Hobson-Stockton of Shirland, IL, and Mary Hobson- Roser (Steve) of Rockford, IL; grandchildren whom Bonnie so very dearly loved: Tyler, Dominick, Ariana, Cade, Isabelle, Cole, Gabrielle, and Matthew.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used in Bonnie’s name at a later date.
