Tuesday's Village of Roscoe board meeting will include a proclamation establishing May 2022 as Motorcycle Awareness Month in the Village of Roscoe and the swearing in of new police officer Ryan Sarver. And the board is expected to allow Stateline Baseball to continue to use Leland Park and Porter Park through December 2024. The Village of Roscoe will be accepting bids for the 2022 Residential Streets Maintenance and Repair program and plans to revise their Special Events Permit regulations and application forms.

A special event permit is expected to be issued to Rock Valley Flyers to use Chicory Ridge Park and Pond for radio-controlled boats and gliders on June 25, 2022 and August 27, 2022. There will be no Committee of the Whole meeting this week.

At its Tuesday's board meeting, the Village of Rockton is expected to rezone the former Sonoco property on the Rock River which it purchased at 200 Hawick Street. The previously-abandoned property would be changing from CH Commercial Highway District to CR Commercial Retail District. The Village also plans to reappoint Ron Montgomery to the Police Pension Board for a two-year term and to approve a design review for About Face Beauty & Makeup, which will be opening on 112 S. Blackhawk Blvd.

The Village will be considering buying automatic license plate readers from Axon Enterprises and hiring LaBree Concrete to remove and replace the sidewalk on Deacon Drive at a cost of $2,350. The board will be asked to approve the purchase and installation of two Excell Blowers at Walt Williamson Pool Bath House from Gates Electric for $2,295 and to pay Nason’s Landscaping to repair washout damage at Barkwood Dog Park Fountain Pad for $2,227. An amendment to Chapter 75 of the Code of Ordinances would designate No Parking on certain portions of Kocher Street. Also, a Special Events Application needs to be approved for a Bastian/Hollinger graduation party to be held on the afternoon of June 4, 2022.

A closed Executive Session meeting is expected to result in "A Resolution of the Village of Rockton, Illinois Regarding the Release of Executive Session Minutes" and "A Resolution of the Village of Rockton, Illinois Authorizing and Approving Agreement Between the Supervisors of the Village of Rockton Police Department for 2021-2024."
