Brent Soderberg
Brent Lawrence Soderberg, of Rockton, Illinois, was immersed in the music business. He was a graduate of Hononegah Community High School, class of 2001, and of Full Sail University in 2007, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in entertainment management in 2007.
Brent formerly lived in Orlando, Florida, where he was employed at Universal Studios and Hard Rock Cafeas a sound mixing engineer.
He was a talented drummer, playing in several bands including Spoonful JC locally and I-90 with his Florida friends.
Brent went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2024, at the age of 40.
He was born to parents Brian and Joyce (Taylor) Soderberg in Rockford, Illinois on April 4, 1983. He was a loving and dedicated father. His daughter Hannah was his entire world.
Brent loved crafting, drawing, going for walks and bike rides with his daughter. He loved his parents, sister and nephews greatly and is remembered fondly as one of God's angels here on earth. His love, kindness, and care for those he knew will be missed by his family and circle of friends.
Brent is survived by daughter, Hannah Soderberg; and Hannah’s mother Susan Resnick; parents; Brian and Joyce Soderberg; sister, Juliann Barta; nephews Tyler Barta, Adam Sliti, and his father, Houssem Sliti; aunts, Chris Mullins, Robin (Steve) Read, Karen (Greg) Lowe; uncle, Ralph Shepard; and a circle of friends in his hometown and in Florida.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Marian Soderberg; maternal grandparents, Larry and Lois Taylor; and aunt, Teresa Shephard.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford, followed by a celebration of Brent's life at 3 p.m. Erin Blume will officiate. Live stream of service can be viewed at https://my.gather.app/remember/brent-lawrence-soderberg
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brent's family, for an education fund for his beloved daughter.
