On Friday and Saturday, March 3 and 4, shoppers flocked to Roscoe, Rockton and South Beloit for the Spring 2023 version of Vintage Shop Hop. The twice a year event is billed as The Best Road Show Ever, encouraging shoppers to hop in their cars and visit participating shops, lunching and picking up great bargains.

Vintage Shop Hop is not limited to the immediate area. The shopping event focuses on antique and vintage shops as well as women’s boutiques shops throughout Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. This year over 400 businesses participated.

The unique Vintage Shop Hop was created and produced by Roscoe native Ann Stiffler Campos. This year marks the 10th year of the event.

Campos has successfully combined her love of vintage and her experience as Director of Marketing at the Illinois Bureau of Tourism in Rockford to make Vintage Shop Hop successful.

This year, as in previous years, participating shops rolled out the red carpet, offering specials, discounts, giveaways and instore promos, following an interactive Google map detailing locations and a master list of participating businesses. Each shop presented a punch card that qualified shoppers to enter a grand prize.

It’s not too early to start planning for the fall version of Vintage Shop Hop scheduled for Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct 7. That’s plenty of time to make plans to grab your friends, hit the road, and shop hard.
