Plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the 70's welcomed an estimated 500 people to the 2022 Hanz Brew Fest. Supporters came out in loving memory of Todd Hansmeier on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Souvenir cups were filled from a selection of over 100 beers, served by 70 plus volunteers. Wine lovers visited After The Vine's alcove.

Periodically, action shifted to five and half toasts to Todd. Different genres were covered by the bands Stereotype, April's Fool, and No Dice.

Game players challenged others to bags, full size beer pong, and ladder golf. Food choices included Cantina Tacos, Frybaby's and Veebos.

Hanz Brew Fest t-shirts were available for purchase, created by Embroid This.

Strike the Box Pipes and Cigars took part in the festivities.

Barb Rothmaler was the lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle.

Rockton Lions Club lent an extra dose of financial support after a two year break due to COVID-19. The Lions donated $2,500 each year, covering that missed time.

The Gem Shop & Diamond Source served as one of the events sponsors by donating beautiful jewelry that was part of a silent auction.

“We would like to thank all of our fantastic sponsors,” Brian said.

Anyone who was unable to attend but would still like to help donations will also be accepted. Details on how to give can be found on the Hanz Brew Fest page.
