We will be having a special speaker Kim Mclver. Kim is an Illinois Humanity Road Scholar Speaker. Kim will focus on Native women, primarily Singing Bird (Blackhawk’s wife) & Hononegah (Stephen Mack’s wife). She will introduce Native Ojibwa language and music. This is an interactive experience with an opportunity to play drums, jingles & rain sticks. Kim will present two times: 2:00 & 3:00 p.m. The gardens and hands-on opportunities will be available from 2-4 p.m. Suggested donation: $5.
