Presented by Dr. John D. Ulferts, retired Superintendent-Principal of the Shirland School District.

June is the anniversary month of the D-Day invasion of World War II. On June 6, 1944, the Allied forces launched the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. The D-Day assault began the liberation of France and Europe from German occupation. Dr. Ulferts has studied several aspects of WWII. He is the author of Always Remember - WWII Through Veterans' Eyes, a compilation of the stories of 140 WWII veterans. The book will be available for sale at the program.
