What a great turnout last week for Craft Time at the Roscoe Township Community Center! A special thanks to Roscoe Police Deputy Chief, Officer Tom Farone, for reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to the kids last Monday.

The kids had fun painting little bees to take home to their gardens and recreating "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" for all to enjoy at the community center.

Join us on Monday, 7/20 to "feed" our community caterpillar by painting food and fruit rocks! Paint one for the caterpillar and one to take home. If you missed last week's craft time project making "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" at the Roscoe Township Community Center, we still have rocks to paint and add to our caterpillar friend outside!

For the last Craft Time project in July, we will create nature-inspired hairdos using natural materials from the Cross Park prairie. We will start by drawing our portraits in the community center and then we will walk through the prairie trails to forage grass, flowers, plants, and more! Free snacks and refreshments will be provided inside after the walk. If the weather does not permit, we will continue creating our portraits inside the community center.

All are welcome but the crafts are suitable for ages 5+. Adult supervision is required and encouraged to join in on the fun. Snacks and materials are provided while supplies last.

The Roscoe Township Community Center and Cross Park prairie is located at 4562 Hononegah Rd. Roscoe, IL.
