First Congregational Church Clothes Closet is open to all those in need
First Congregational Community Church in Roscoe is known as the small church with a big heart.

The basement of the First Congregational Community Church, 10780 Third Street in Roscoe, is currently filled with clean, well-maintained used clothing ready to be donated to families in need of a little assistance. Clothing is available in nearly any size for women, men, and children, at no cost.
"We are dedicated to helping anyone in need in the community," Misty Melton said. Her husband, Bill and their son, Noah, built the shelving for the donation room at the church.

The clothing drive used to be a yearly event. It is now ongoing. Pastor Lisa Abbe has been the pastor at First Congregational since 2010. She is thrilled and grateful that the Melton family and other members of the congregation have made the clothing give-away available whenever needed.
Anyone in need of clothing and would like to see what is available can call the church at 815-623-2348 to make an appointment.
