Extra helping of hoops on Saturday for the Lady Hononegah Indians
Three wins in 24 hours for the Lady Indians as they take a pair on Saturday at Dundee-Crown High School.
If you’re like me, I always ask for a second helping of Thanksgiving dinner. I love turkey, stuffing and the salads. Well, on Saturday the Hononegah Girls Basketball team played two games at the Dundee-Crown Thanksgiving Tournament at Dundee-Crown High School.
Game 1 was a comfortable 59-25 win over the host Chargers of Dundee-Crown. The Indians defense only allowed 6 points after halftime. The Lady Indians scored 23 points in the third quarter which allowed them to have a running clock for most of the fourth quarter of the first game of the day.
Game #2 was against Palatine. This saw the ladies get a 45-33 win and improve to 4-o on the 2023-2024 season. Jordan Dimke had 22 points and Jordan Johnson added 10 in the 12 point win.
Next up for the Lady Indians is a road rivalry game with Harlem to open up NIC 10 play on Tuesday November 28, at 6:30pm.
