The Gardens on Prairie Rose want to help restock the pantry shelves at Rock River Valley Pantry with peanut butter and jelly before school lets out for the summer. This year’s goal is 20,000 jars.
Why: During the summer months, the Rock River Valley Pantry becomes very important to the families that need a little bit of help to feed their children lunch. PB & J goes a long way!
When: May 1-June 11, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-2pm
Whether it’s creamy or crunchy, large or small, please consider donating this protein-rich staple to help this vulnerable population. Monetary donations are also welcome as this allows the pantry to purchase jars at wholesale prices. A $20.00 donation buys approximately one case of 12 jars (18 oz. each.) You can also purchase peanut butter on Amazon and have it shipped.
Plastic bottles please, no glass.
