You can vote early at the Winnebago County Offices, 404 Elm Street, in Rockford.

Early Voting Begins March 17 in Winnebago County

For Winnebago County residents residing outside the City of Rockford, early voting will take place at the Winnebago County Clerk’s Office, 404 Elm Street, 4th Floor, Rockford, IL 61101 in preparation for the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election.

Early in-person voting began Monday, March 17, 2025.

Early voting was delayed in Winnebago County and the Rockford Board of Elections jurisdiction to allow time to process primary election ballots.

Early Voting Dates & Hours:

  • March 17–21: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • March 22: Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

“Early voting gives voters an opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day and avoid long lines,” said Lori Gummow, Winnebago County Clerk. “We encourage all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Registered voters may also request a Vote By Mail ballot.
