Early Voting Begins March 17 in Winnebago County
Starting Monday, you can vote at the Winnebago County Offices, 404 Elm Street, in Rockford.

In preparation for the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election, the Winnebago County Clerk’s Office announces early in-person voting begins Monday, March 17, 2025.
Early voting was delayed in Winnebago County and the Rockford Board of Elections jurisdiction to allow time to process primary election ballots.
For Winnebago County residents residing outside the City of Rockford, early voting will take place at the Winnebago County Clerk’s Office, 404 Elm Street, 4th Floor, Rockford, IL 61101.
Early Voting Dates & Hours:
- March 17–21: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- March 22: Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
“Early voting gives voters an opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day and avoid long lines,” said Lori Gummow, Winnebago County Clerk. “We encourage all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Registered voters may also request a Vote By Mail ballot, with the first day ballots can be mailed set for March 17.
