With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

April 6, 2025:
Joseph C. Faulkner, 76, South Beloit
A proud Navy veteran, he established his own mechanical contracting business, S.C.F., Inc., in 1986.

Mark L. Beard, 74, Roscoe
He owned a hair salon in Winnetka for many years, retiring in 2019. He was a long-time Rockton resident.

May 25, 2025:
Norman Johnson, 78, South Beloit
Called "Terry" or "Boomer T," he raced his 1939 Coup and 1957 Chevy at the Byron Raceway. He enjoyed shooting prairie dogs, pheasants, and ducks. He was a member of the Beloit Rifle Club for over 40 years.

May 28, 2025:
Donald Eisler, 83, Rockton e
Former owner of the Waterbed Store and Wood Products of Machesney Park, he traveled to every continent in the world. He enjoyed scuba diving and flying small planes.

Sally A. Tinder, 81, Beloit
She enjoyed going to Hononegah class of 1962 reunions. She worked for Wisconsin Knife Works for 20 years.

Dennis M. Atchley, 72, Roscoe
A production operations manager with many large companies,, he retired from Forest City Gear in Roscoe.

John M. Coots, 86, South Beloit, IL
He enjoyed playing softball with the Warner Electric team, where he worked for over 40 years. An Army veteran, he traveled to Washington in 2019 with VetsRoll.
