Jan. 20, 2025:
Jim O'Brien, 68, Roscoe
Known for his generous spirit, he served for years as head elder of his church. His sense of humor could brighten even the gloomiest of days.
Jan. 22, 2025:
Karen Mayton, 66, Roscoe
Married for 42 years to a man who called her his Petunia and Sweet Pea, the air blowing across her face made her forget about her diagnosis as she rode on the Harley with him.
Jan. 23, 2025:
Paige Sullivan, 78, Rockton
After family vacations out west, she and her husband traveled 7,000 miles across the country after retirement.
Robin Close, 59, Roscoe
She lived her whole life with cerebral palsy, unable to walk or talk (except to say “outta here,”) but she had more life and fight in her than the rest of us.
Jan. 26, 2025:
Teddy Knapp, 76, South Beloit
Drafted into the Vietnam War, he was awarded two Bronze Stars. He worked as a supervisor and safety coordinator at Sonoco. He marched in the Orfordville Fourth of July Parade for many years.
