Dec. 21, 2024:
Katrina Gough, 60, Roscoe
She worked for Greater Rockford Auto Auction for 40 years and took pride in her children, grandchildren, work, and life.
Dec. 24, 2024:
Caleb "Dub" Morris, 26, Rockton
He was an active member of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (J.R.O.T.C.), a passionate video gamer, and a singer of country music.
Dec. 29, 2024:
Joshua Amundrud, 27, South Beloit
His passion was riding and working on his motorcycle. He enjoyed fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Jan. 4, 2025:
Donald Sandell, 97, Roscoe
A former grounds supervisor for the Rockford School District, he rode motorcycles with the Rockford Shriners. He loved classic cars, swimming, woodworking, collecting, roller coasters, doing magic tricks and telling stories.
Jan. 11, 2025:
Gary McConnell Sr., 86, Roscoe
After high school he served for three years as a military police officer in the Marines. He retired from Chrysler Automotive after 30 years of service as a quality engineer. He liked being outdoors, such as fishing or roller skating.
Jan. 12, 2025:
Bob Bennett, 93, South Beloit
Born in Texas, he loved making jokes and making others feel at ease. He spent many hours at Walter Lawson Children’s Home in Loves Park.
Jan. 14, 2025:
Karen Wood, 82, Roscoe
She spent her days creating a warm home and memorable experiences for her family and friends, particularly during the holidays, her favorite time of the year. She loved the piano and organ. Her smile could light up any room.
Jan. 17, 2025:
Johnna Bainter, 32, Roscoe
She was the owner of Village Speech Therapy in Roscoe. She previously worked for the Wisconsin School for the Deaf and the Rockford Public Schools.
David Sumpter, 73, South Beloit
A member of the National Guard, he worked for the family business, Broaster distributor Sumpter Sales. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, campfires and dancing, and traveling.
Dennis Farrell, 75, Roscoe, IL
He enjoyed fishing, turtle hunting, puzzling, and flying and building model airplanes.
