Nov. 10, 2024:
Jean Steinmetz, 86, South Beloit
After moving around the country because of her husband's career, they stayed on a farm in rural South Beloit until their children were grown.
Nov. 17, 2024:
Helen Kiesow, 87, Roscoe
From Oshkosh, she studied music education at Lawrence Conservatory of Music.
Nov. 24, 2024:
David Dace, 79, Roscoe
An avid golfer, he was especially fond of time spent at Tall Oaks, Short Hills, Mauh-Nah-Tee-See, and Clearbrook Country Clubs.
Nov. 25, 2024:
Carol Paggi, 83, Roscoe,
Born in Massachusetts, where she met her husband, they moved back to Illinois after 20 years of retirement in Arizona.
Nov. 26, 2024:
Carolyn Dylak, 86, Roscoe
Trained as a social worker, she was a leader with Catholic Charities, the American Red Cross, and the YWCA.
William Woodward, 86, Roscoe
Retiring after 27 years as a naval officer, he always brought a smile to everyone he knew.
Paul Burke, Jr. 72, Roscoe
He and his parents founded Makerite Manufacturing in Roscoe in 1972.
Nov. 27, 2024:
Gregorio DeLeon, 102, Roscoe
Born in 1922 in Cotulla, Texas, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He liked fishing, professional wrestling, and dancing to polka music with his sweetheart and wife.
Sigrid Peucker, 83, Rockton
Born in Rockton in 1941, she graduated from Hononegah High School in 1959. Final resting place: Rockton Township Cemetery.
