Donald Kleparski, Mark Masterson, Ann Ballard, Reis Sabani

With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

Sept. 16, 2025:
Mark Masterson, 58, South Beloit
A 1985 graduate of Hononegah High School, he built a career with Frontier Communications as an equipment installer. He made several hiking trips to Joshua Tree National Park.

Sept. 20, 2025:
Ann Ballard, 92, Roscoe
After climbing the hills and swimming in the creeks of eastern Tennessee as a child, she ventured to Daytona Beach at age 23, where she met her sailor husband. She was a devoted member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Roscoe for decades.

Sept. 22, 2025:
Donald E. Kleparski, 75, Rockton
He graduated from Dakota High School in 1969 and served in the United States Army.

Sept. 25, 2025:
Reis Sabani, 67, Roscoe
He lived on Prairie Flower. His family remembers him for showing them what it means to be a person with soul, love, and respect. His funeral was held at the Albanian American Islamic Center in Berkeley IL.
