Linda Oldenburg, Susan Meyers, Sandy Lindvall, Raymond Saunders, Lois Moake

With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

Sept. 14, 2025:
Lois J. Moake, 77, Rockton
She loved planning parties, birthdays, family get-togethers, or holidays, especially Christmas. In the kitchen, she always had music playing in the background. She retired from Cadbury Schweppes (formerly Warner-Lambert).

Susan K. Meyers, 76, South Beloit
She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and the Packers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Sept. 16, 2025:
Linda L. Oldenburg, 68, South Beloit
She waitressed at numerous restaurants between Rockford and Beloit, eventually finding her "forever home" at the Backyard Bar and Grill in Loves Park. She cherished playing the scarecrow at the Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia.

Sept. 16, 2025:
Raymond L. Saunders III, 55, South Beloit
He was a professional fisherman for many years on charter boats and more recently he worked as a painter. He was very good at cooking fish and was the grilling king. He and Linda Oldenburg were boyfriend and girlfriend for 25 years.

Sept. 20, 2025:
Sandra K. Cagle-Lindvall, 74, Rockton
She started in banking in the early 1970s. She was past president and judge at the Young at Heart Festival and pageants. She enjoyed helping her granddaughter with wedding plans and floral arrangements. She kept Bit O’Honey candy stashed in her magazine basket next to her chair.
