William Walker, Patsy Wecker, Angelique Duryee, Leonora Rykowski, Brenda Bailey, David Grass, Daniel McCullough

With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

Aug. 14, 2025:
Patsy Wecker, 87, Rockton
A 1956 graduate of Hononegah High School in Rockton, her ashes will be joined with her husband’s and scattered over their beloved San Diego.

Aug. 29, 2025:
Cathleen M. Micka, 60, Rockton
She lived on Blackhawk Boulevard.

Sept. 2, 2025:
Ronald R. Bohn, 79, Rockton
A retired member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 219, he graduated from Harlem High School.

Sept. 3, 2025:
Brenda D. Bailey, 72, Roscoe
She cared for persons affected by developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and domestic abuse. She received several awards for her achievements and contributions.

Sept. 5, 2025:
David R. Grass, 73, Roscoe
Retired from Rockford public schools, he lived out his faith through service, generosity, and humility. His love for the outdoors was reflected in his involvement with the Roscoe Sportsmen’s Club and Pheasants Forever.

Sept. 7, 2025:
Leonora A. Rykowski, 74, South Beloit
A 1969 South Beloit High School graduate, she loved being an identical twin and having twin grandkids.

Sept. 8, 2025:
Angelique C. Duryee, 56, Rockton
She made endless contributions as a caregiver in handicap residence homes. She painted fairy tale murals and wrote fantasy stories.

Sept. 10, 2025:
Daniel L. McCullough, 86, Roscoe
He taught reading and spelling to 7th & 8th graders at Kinnikinnick School before the establishment of Roscoe Middle School. After retiring in 1985, he worked in the Boone Winnebago Regional Office of Education.

William M. Walker, 65, Roscoe
After serving in the Army for 4 years, he eventually became a regional sales manager. He also ran the lure for thousands of AKC dogs in a timed 100-yard dash.
