Jan. 25, 2026:
Karin Trost, 74, Roscoe
She began her career as a fourth-grade teacher at Kinnikinnick School in Roscoe, later returning to teaching as a special education instructor for visually impaired students in Rockford Public Schools.

Mar. 8, 2026:
Mark A. Lancaster, 67, South Beloit
Born in Beloit, he graduated from Beloit Catholic High School in 1976. Mark was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs even when they weren't winning.

Mar. 12, 2026:
Willabelle M. Heilman, 101, South Beloit
She worked as a cook at many downtown Beloit restaurants, including The Royal. She graduated from South Beloit High School in 1942. Her second husband died more than 30 years ago. A jokester who told off color stories, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, canning, cooking, gambling and going out to eat with her family.
