We remember those who are no longer with us in Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit.
With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:
Nov. 18, 2025:
Bruce A. Cruse, 77, South Beloit
He retired from Dean Foods after more than 30 years, despite a disability from Army service in Vietnam. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in South Beloit. He coached Girl Scouts softball and served as a Cub Scout den leader.

Nov. 21, 2025:
Jeanette A. Stogsdill, 89, Roscoe
She and her husband spent 50 years in Rockton, where they raised three children, moving to Roscoe shortly before his death in 2008. As children of the Depression, they passed on to their offspring the concept of hard work. They loved working together as partners in their woodshop.

John F. Sundstedt, 95, Roscoe
He taught school for 30 years and served as a trustee for the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department. In retirement, his woodworking skills attracted many fans at art shows.

Nov. 22, 2025:
Dolores M. Bruschi, 92, South Beloit
She had a talent in cake decorating, always carried a camera, and fondly kept all the greeting cards she had received over the years. She helped to organize the South Beloit High School class of 1952 reunion.

Nov. 27, 2025:
Robert E. Sawdey, 92, Rockton
He worked as an industrial and packaging engineer at National Lock, Sundstrand, and Barber Coleman. After his retirement, he made dozens of handmade wooden mantel clocks.
