We remember those who are no longer with us in Roscoe, South Beloit, and Rockton.

With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:
August 8, 2025:
Pamela Wonzer, 71, Roscoe
Though she wasn't supposed to live past infancy, she became a bartender, janitor, fishing lure painter, and loving caregiver for family members for many years.

August 12, 2025:
Willliam Butterworth, 77, Roscoe
He built cabinets and furniture, or helped others do it, and did general carpentry work. He went to middle school in Roscoe and to Hononegah for high school.

August 14, 2025:
Robert V. Friskey, 66, South Beloit
He was a nuclear reactor operator in Byron and was actively involved in the Holy Name Society.

August 15, 2025:
Gregory L. Brown, 75, South Beloit
A 1968 Hononegah graduate, his life long passion was fishing. He taught high School, then moved to the corporate world. With his wife, he enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing, gardening and camping for almost 42 years.

August 19, 2025:
Nicole Kosinski, 54, Rockton
Despite health challenges, disability, and blindness, she brought joy and light to everything she did, from horseback riding, Special Olympics, swimming, fishing, and giving concerts to her family.
Marley R. Yetterberg, 27, Rockton
She began her caregiving career at Highview in the Woodlands in Rockton. She enjoyed thrifting, sporting events, Six Flags, ATV riding and reading. She volunteered at a local thrift store and regularly filled blessing boxes.
