Rocktown Township recently enjoyed a community cookout on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Prairie Hills Meats on Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit. This gathering featured free food, drink, and games for adults with face painting and a bouncy castle for children. Clifford Jensen shared with us that the purpose of the cookout was for township residents to come out, meet their neighbors, and chat about local issues.

Some notable residents in attendance were Rocktown Township trustee members Connie Gleasman and Vicky Ivy, State Senator Andrew Chesney, Winnebago County Board members Paul Arena and Jim Webster, Concerned Citizens of South Beloit member Jack Redieske, and South Beloit mayoral candidate Joshua Lloyd.

The meats were catered by Prairie Hill Meats, which is managed by Michael Nolan.
