Today, we join communities around the world in celebrating World Teachers’ Day, launched by UNESCO in 1994 to honor the educators who change lives every single day. Here in Rockton, Roscoe and South Beloit, we’re proud to recognize the teachers who pour their hearts into our students the mentors, the encouragers, the steady hands guiding the next generation.

Our community is home to extraordinary educators, including recent Golden Apple honorees and finalists whose dedication has been spotlighted across our communities. Their passion, creativity, and commitment to student success continue to inspire us.

Today, we invite you to celebrate a teacher who made a difference in your life — or in your child’s. A simple “thank you” goes a long way, and so does a small act of kindness.
