The pumpkins are ripe, the leaves are falling, and kids are thinking about Halloween costumes and treats. Bring on the ghosts and goblins, princesses and pirates, it's time for Truck or Treat at Porter Park, 6545 Windflower Lane, hosted by the Village of Roscoe. The annual event takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025. from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Admission is free. Families are invited to celebrate the Halloween holiday season with trick -or -treating, food trucks, Roscoe police vehicles, public works trucks, free games, and activities for all ages.

Now in its fourth year, the event will feature over 40 local businesses and groups. Some will be handing out Halloween candy while others will host games and activities throughout the afternoon. Each will add their own twist to what has become an increasingly popular annual celebration.

The 2024 Truck or Treat Halloween party at Porter Park brought hundreds of families out for an afternoon of games, crafts, Halloween treats, and lots of spooky fun. This year, the Village of Roscoe will bring back favorite activities from past years, and some surprises. The 2025 Roscoe Halloween party is Saturday, October 1, 2025, 3:00 to 6:00 pm

Village employees Anne Hanson and Janel Reidinger, came up with the idea of a community celebration four years ago. The annual Truck or Treat party has grown every year and has become a favorite Roscoe area tradition.

Fan favorites from past years are returning, including Party Like a Rockstar Tents and Events, featuring their popular bubble house and coloring wall—plus a few new surprises in store!

To make getting there easier, additional parking will be available in the field across McDonald Road, with free golf cart shuttles running throughout the event. Just a short walk north, over the bridge, will take families to the “land of Halloween fun and entertainment.” Entrance to the park is at 6545 Wildflower Lane, Roscoe, IL
