Items that are collected will be distributed to students at Ellis Arts Elementary in Rockford, Hackett Elementary in Beloit, and Lac Du Flambeau Elementary in northern WI, part of the Lake Superior Chippewa tribe.

Shop at the Rockton PTO's Winter Wonderland Holiday Shoppe on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 in the Whitman Post gymnasium. This annual event provides a unique experience where children can pick out gifts for their family. Siblings are also welcome to browse for that special present from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Gift prices range from $1 to $10. Shopping assistance and free gift wrapping are two extra bonuses.  There is no entry fee. Refreshments will be served, along with the opportunity to participate in various activities.

Roscoe's fourth  annual Hometown Holiday is on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4-7 pm. Bring your family and your friends to take part in a variety of fun options,  both on Main Street and in Main Street Square. This event is a partnership between the Village of Roscoe,  Harlem Roscoe Fire Department and elev815.

Talcott Free Library,  101 E. Main St. in Rockton, has their “Giving Tree” up and welcomes donations of hats, mittens, scarves, baby items, toys and hygiene products. A full list of accepted items can be picked up at the library. Collections will be taken from now until Dec. 23. This yearly tradition helps to make the season bright for those in need of these basics and are shared within the community.

Give a true gift from the heart by Adopting a Book at Talcott Free Library, from now until Dec. 16.  Choose a book, customize the message inside, and earn  rights to be the first to check it out of the library. Books are donated to the library as a gift for a loved one. The book then  becomes part of the library's permanent collection. Librarians will give you an official certificate of adoption.  As a bonus, a bookplate is placed inside the book along with the names of those who Adopt a Book and the recipient. This is truly a gift from the heart to give to anyone who loves to read. Books have the perfect home at the library and has longevity of being read by many different patrons. Another unique idea is to purchase a library card for someone who resides outside of the Talcott district.
