Recently, the initial NCAA Most Dominant Wrestler standings were released by the NCAA. On top of the standings was former Hononegah High School athlete 285-pounder Tony Cassioppi who has done so in 14:54. The Most Dominant Wrestler standings are for falls and tech falls. To be counted for the awards, they must come against opponents in the same division (i.e. Division II vs. Division II). Ties in the two categories are broken based on the aggregate time.

Tony is a three-time All-American wrestler at the University of Iowa. He was a two-time Illinois high school state champion. He was 100-0 in his last two years in high school. This year Cassioppi has continued his amazing collegiate career with a 14-0 record. Standing at 86-2 overall while at Iowa, Tony is currently ranked #2 as a heavyweight.

His Iowa team is 10-0 on the season and ranked #2 right behind Big Ten rival Penn State. Today Iowa hosts #11 Nebraska in a Big Ten showdown in Iowa City. Sunday the Hawkeyes travel to Madison, WI to tangle with #16 Wisconsin.

Tony Cassioppi is a Barstool athlete promoting the Barstool brand since August of 2021.
