Bridge St. Pizza & Chicken Co. celebrates ribbon cutting in Roscoe
Bridge Street Pizza & Chicken Co. is located at 5441 Bridge St., Unit B in Roscoe.
A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday, Dec. 17, to officially welcome Bridge St. Pizza & Chicken Co. to Roscoe. Attendees sampled pizza and chicken during the event.
Roscoe Village President Carol Gustafson attended the ribbon cutting along with Roscoe trustees.

Bridge Street Pizza & Chicken Co. is owned by Kel Isaj, his sister Linda Alimi, and Linda’s husband, Nick Alimi. The group also owns Sophia’s Restaurant in Roscoe. Isaj said the idea for the business came after operating Sophia’s for seven years and wanting to try something new.
“The building was empty, and we’ve been at Sophia’s for seven years, so we thought it was time to try something new,” Isaj said. “Chicken is trending right now, and I thought Roscoe was in need of that.”
The restaurant has been open for about three weeks and operates as a carryout location. Isaj said some menu items are already becoming customer favorites.

“The mac and cheese bowl has been going really awesome,” Isaj said, and added that the New York-style pizza has also been getting good feedback.
Isaj said the ribbon cutting and opening meant a lot to his team and family.
“It means a lot,” he said. “We’ve been here seven years, and it’s kind of a big deal. We worked hard for this day.”
