As fall settles in and students look for ways to connect beyond the classroom, one of the most popular after‑school traditions is back. Book Chats & Snacks, a lively reading club for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, kicks off its new season on Tuesday, October 13 — blending good books, good food, and great company into one welcoming space.

The club meets after school in Mrs. Vanek’s room in Pod B at Willowbrook Middle School, where students can pick up a permission slip and join the fun.

Book Chats & Snacks has built a reputation for being more than just a reading group. Each session features new and notable literature, paired with savory and sweet treats that keep conversations lively and students engaged. The club encourages young readers to explore stories, share opinions, and build friendships — all in a relaxed, snack‑filled environment.

The message is simple and irresistible:
Books + Snacks = Happy People.

With its mix of literacy, community, and after‑school comfort, Book Chats & Snacks continues to be a standout program for Wolverines looking to unwind, discover new stories, and enjoy time with classmates.

Remember to tell them you "Saw it in the Rockton-Roscoe News.”
