Boiler trouble means remote learning for Hononegah on Monday

Due to an issue with boilers at Hononegah Community High School, the administration announced in an email to parents that they will "move to remote learning on Monday, January 10th.  Students are expected to engage in every class during the same time frame as they would during a regular day, and attendance is taken every hour. Students should check their email and Google Classroom links for information for each class and contact teachers with questions."

Parents can pick up free breakfast and lunch for the day, but parents should place orders by 8:30 a.m. with Food Service Director Maria Small. Meals will be picked up at door #13 on Union Street between 10:00 a.m. and noon.

District officials were not available for comment at press time.

Hononegah awarded contracts last September to three vendors for removal and replacement of their north and south boilers.
