Pancake lovers patiently waited in line at the Rockton American Center on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022.  Rockton Lions Club members served sausage, pancakes and drinks to hungry families as part of the Rockton Christmas Walk celebration.  A Lions Club member taking tickets estimated the crowd at over 400.

Santa also came by for breakfast and took time to visit with the children.

Mayor John Peterson said this year’s attendance was higher than any previous Christmas Walk breakfast.

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Wimpy's Fund, which distributes presents, food baskets, toys, and clothing to needy families in the Roscoe, Rockton, South Beloit, Harrison, and Shirland communities.
