In 1875, Roscoe citizens encouraged the board to uninvite Jefferson Davis from speaking at the Winnebago County Fair.

Tracy Terry is the secretary of the Roscoe Township Historical Society. She attended Kinnikinnick and Hononegah. A certified genealogist, she is descended from several early Roscoe families.
